3rd grade learned how many quarts, pints, and cups make a gallon. We did it by creating a gallon person starting with a body (gallon), adding arms and legs (quarts), adding a little length to the arms and legs(pints), and finally toes and fingers(cups). This also helped with how many pints are in a quart and how many cups are in a pint.
We wrote a story about our gallon person to share with the class. We had a lot of fun learning while we made our people.
